Curtis Jones has shared that Mohamed Salah said sorry to the team following the fallout from his recent interview.

The striker was dropped from a vital match subsequent to criticising the club and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”

He emphasized that the team's response stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and everybody was exactly the same with him,” he continued.
The midfielder also suggested that a teammate fighting for a place is less of an issue. “It's clear there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

“If passion has boiled over, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” he finished. “That chapter is closed and we’re gelling well as a team, performing and starting to win games.”
